Tsubaki.3 Prompts in Action

Walk a commercial-grade workflow with the official MIO band project — character design sheets, a magazine key visual, live CGs, a serialized manga, and anniversary art, with full prompts and section-by-section breakdowns.

This page shows you how to produce a full set of commercial-quality output with Tsubaki.3. Using the official "MIO band" project as the example, we walk through the actual workflow:

  1. Character design sheets — establish the characters first and produce reusable "character files"
  2. Three-member magazine cover — put the character files onto a key visual
  3. Live CG — walk the same cast into a scene
  4. Serialized manga — script first, then generate a continuous story page by page
  5. Anniversary art — new outfits plus multi-pose sheets for long-running projects

Every step comes with the full prompt and a section-by-section breakdown. Write the character file well once, and every image afterward reuses it — exactly the consistency a commercial project needs most.

Every example on this page is a prompt written by hand, entirely in English, with the Prompt Helper off (PH OFF) — the recommended approach when you need precise control over layout and text. For everyday generation, writing in your own language with the Prompt Helper on is still the easiest route.

General Principles

Before writing long prompts, keep four things in mind:

  1. Use English wherever you can — recognition is most accurate.
  2. Write in a fixed order — recommended structure:
OrderSectionWhat to write
Style and effectsArt style, lighting feel, contrast, camera angle, aperture, blur, and so on
Content summaryOne sentence on what the image is, where it's used, and who's in it
Character descriptionEach character's look, pose, and position in the frame
Text designTitles, taglines, and info to embed in the image (skip if there's no text)
Layout descriptionBackground color, negative space, decorative rules, and other graphic needs (optional)
  1. Always name your characters when there's more than one — like Mio-A, Mio-B, Mio-C, so the model can match looks and positions to the right person.
  2. Use a fixed format for embedded text — recommended: title:「…」 or chara name:「…」. Don't write the label in the same language as the text itself (for example, Chinese copy with a Chinese 「標題:」 label) — the label tends to get rendered into the image.

Before You Start: Build the World

The foundation of a commercial project isn't the art — it's the story. The official team wrote a full narrative setting for the MIO band, and every image afterward draws its character personalities, costume language, and scene choices from it:

MIO is a three-member new-generation idol band. The three look almost identical — short white hair, pale pink gradients, purple eyes, cat ears and tails — and this near-uniform visual identity is the group's most striking signature. But once they take the stage, they reveal completely different personalities:

  • Mio-A (vocals / center): cheerful and approachable, occasionally pushes herself too hard, terrified that her own mistakes will drag the team down
  • Mio-B (lead guitar): quiet and composed, black-and-purple punk, secretly the first to notice the other two's moods
  • Mio-C (bass): free-spirited and playful, loves a joke, yet holds down the band's steadiest rhythm

For MIO, the goal isn't to become the most popular idols — it's to find the sound only these three can create. "Three people who look so alike, and yet not one of them could ever replace another."

The setting doesn't need to be long, but it should be able to answer "what would this character do when X happens." Write one good version, and let AI handle the translations into other languages.

Step 1: Character Design Sheets

A commercial project doesn't start with finished art — it starts with character files. Write a character description for each of the three members — features, costume, personality positioning — and generate three standing-art designs directly:

Mio-A vocalist standing-art design
Mio-A: vocals / sweet rock
Mio-B guitarist standing-art design
Mio-B: guitar / cool punk
Mio-C bassist standing-art design
Mio-C: bass / futuristic energy

Once the direction is set, expand a single character into a complete design sheet — standing art, turnaround, expressions, head angles, accessory details, and a color palette, all in one generation. This sheet then serves as the "master reference" for the entire project:

Mio-C full character design sheet
Mio-C design sheet: standing art + turnaround + expression grid + accessory details + palette, one character across every module

The key to a design sheet is writing "what must appear on the page" as a checklist. The full prompt is below, with colors mapping to the sections:

  • Style (purple) — a design sheet wants flat colors and no lighting, so write the style section in reverse
  • Scene (orange) — the content summary: a design piece, 2:1 landscape, white background, single character
  • Detail (pink) — MANDATORY PAGE CONTENT: names every page module; the second half specs each module under uppercase labels
  • Character (blue) — CHARACTER: / COSTUME: sections for features and styling — this is the "character file" you'll reuse over and over
  • Action (green) — the hero illustration's props and performance pose

pure flat coloring, no shading, no shadows, no highlights, no gradients, no lighting effects, solid color fills, uniform local colors, clean anime lineart, character design sheet style. faintly colored, lightly tinted, soft washed-out palette, almost-white pastel tones. crisp clean lineart, sharp outlines, flat cel-shading, defined anatomy, clean constructive lines, polished futuristic Japanese idol-game aesthetic, rich but readable details, strong cheerful silhouette, production-ready reference sheet, consistent face, outfit, asymmetry, bass and proportions across every view. official Japanese anime / game character design sheet, professional production model sheet, modern Japanese girl-band idol, wide 2:1 landscape layout, clean white background, single character only. MANDATORY PAGE CONTENT: 1 large full-body hero illustration, 3 full-body turnaround views: FRONT, SIDE, BACK, 6 facial-expression busts, 4 head-angle studies, 6 costume / accessory / prop detail boxes, small color palette. All modules clearly separated, same character identity throughout. CHARACTER: Mio-C, young adult modern Japanese band idol, bassist, petite build, purple eyes, soft youthful face, short messy white hair with soft pink gradient accents, light wispy bangs, heart-shaped ahoge, cat ears, long expressive cat tail. Bright, playful, cheerful, approachable, slightly mischievous, fresh and trendy, energetic bassist of a three-member idol band. COSTUME: colorful futuristic-cute idol-band stage outfit in cyan, mint, white, silver and pale blue. Sleeveless or short-sleeved fitted stage top with translucent accents, decorative seams, small buckles, glossy trims, layered ribbons and strap details. Waist design includes floating decorative belts, mini pouches, straps, metallic charms and a short pleated overskirt or translucent layered panels over fitted shorts. Strong asymmetrical leg styling: LEFT leg wears a thigh-high stocking, RIGHT leg mostly bare with decorative straps and small accessories. Oversized cute stage boots with chunky soles, lace-up or buckle details, metallic hardware and soft futuristic padding. Accessories include a large ribbon or bow, bracelets, arm warmers, star and lightning-shaped ornaments. MAIN PROP: stylish futuristic electric bass guitar, sleek rounded body, cyan-to-mint finish, white or silver pickguard, metallic bridge and knobs, decorative strap, small star/lightning motifs. MAIN HERO: dynamic full-body live-performance pose, one leg stepping forward, bass held naturally across the body, one hand on the neck, the other near the strings, sparkling playful smile, tail lifted slightly, open rhythmic body language full of motion. TURNAROUND: FRONT, exact SIDE, BACK, same scale and baseline, neutral technical stance, same hairstyle, heart ahoge, cat ears, tail, outfit layers, asymmetrical stocking placement, boots and accessories, bass displayed separately beside the turnaround. EXPRESSION GRID: neutral friendly face, sparkling bright smile, playful teasing grin, excited performance expression, focused bass-playing face, slightly embarrassed cute smile. HEAD ANGLES: front, 3/4, exact profile, back, show heart ahoge, ear placement, pink gradient, large ribbon, bangs and back-hair construction consistently. DETAIL GRID: 1. HAIR & RIBBON: cat ear, large bow, heart ahoge, pink gradient. 2. STAGE TOP: translucent panels, seams, glossy trim, buckles and ribbons. 3. WAIST ACCESSORIES: floating belts, mini pouch, straps and metallic charms. 4. BASS GUITAR: body, pickups, bridge, knobs, strap attachment and motifs. 5. LEG DESIGN: left thigh-high stocking, right bare-leg straps, asymmetry clearly shown. 6. BOOTS & ARM ACCESSORIES: chunky sole, buckles, padding, bracelets and arm warmer. PALETTE: cyan, mint, white, pale blue, silver, purple-eye accent.

MANDATORY PAGE CONTENT plus uppercase module labels (TURNAROUND / EXPRESSION GRID / DETAIL GRID…) is the core pattern for design sheets — treat the layout as a requirements list and the model delivers to spec.

Step 2: Three-Member Magazine Cover

With the character files locked in, you can produce the key visual. Move all three character descriptions into a single prompt, add the layout and text design, and generate three characters plus a complete magazine layout in one go:

Three-member band magazine cover generated by Tsubaki.3
Three-member idol band magazine cover — composition, character hierarchy, and oversized typography in a single generation

The full prompt:

  • Style (purple) — lighting, contrast, and lens effects all go up front
  • Scene (orange) — content summary: magazine cover, 3:4, black background, oversized typography
  • Characters (blue) — reuse the character files from Step 1, each with an added "position + pose"
  • Detail (pink) — TYPOGRAPHY: lists every piece of text to embed, then closes with the layout design

ultra complexity, (chromatic aberration, film_grain, bloom, overexposure, 3D, shiny skin :1.3), Crisp solid linework, flat color fills, and high-gloss specular highlights define the plastic-like surfaces. Hyper-detailed anime illustration in 8K, vivid anime coloring, gradation eyes, official art style, sharp focus, anime screencap and game CG style, clean lineart and cel shading, cinematic depth, stylish lighting with highlights and contrasts, rich outfit, extremely detailed background, meticulously rendered environment with abundant fine details, highly intricate elements throughout the entire scene, complex and rich textures in every visible part, ultra precise linework and shading on all background object, high-end Japanese fashion and music magazine cover, portrait 3:4, three-member idol band, luxurious editorial photography-inspired anime composition, black background, oversized elegant serif typography, strong character hierarchy. Mio-A dominates the center foreground, full-body fashion pose. Petite girl, purple eyes, short messy white hair fading softly into pastel pink, wispy bangs, heart-shaped ahoge, cat ears, long cat tail. Her center-vocalist stage outfit remains white, pastel pink, rose red and black: cropped idol jacket with gold buttons, epaulettes, miniature chains, heart charms and embroidered patches over a frilled off-shoulder top; richly layered asymmetrical mini skirt with ruffles, lace, ribbons, pleated panels and decorative belts; thigh-high stockings with garter details, ankle straps, heart-buckle idol boots; ribbon choker, fingerless gloves, ear ornaments, star clips and bracelets. She holds a metallic decorated microphone near her lips, confident playful smile, other hand resting near her waist. Mio-B stands behind on the upper-left, three-quarter-body crop. Same purple eyes, white-pink messy short hair, heart ahoge, cat ears and tail. Her guitarist outfit is sharply punk: black and deep violet asymmetrical short jacket, fitted inner top, harness belts, silver rings, exposed zippers, plaid inserts, chains, structured shoulder line, one longer decorative sleeve; strapped pleated mini skirt / shorts hybrid, lace-up panels, side chains, mismatched thigh-high stockings, fingerless gloves, black choker, ear cuffs, rings, heavy lace-up boots. Her electric guitar rests across her shoulder; expression cool, reserved, faint smirk. Mio-C appears lower-right and slightly farther back, full-to-three-quarter figure. Same core Mio features. Futuristic bassist outfit in cyan, mint, white, silver and pale blue: fitted stage top with translucent panels, glossy piping, buckles, seams and layered ribbons; floating belt ornaments, mini utility pouches, decorative straps, short pleated overskirt, translucent panels over shorts; one thigh-high and one bare strapped leg; oversized chunky futuristic boots; big ribbon, arm warmers, bracelets, lightning and star ornaments. Bass held vertically beside her, playful smile, relaxed rhythmic posture. TYPOGRAPHY: large serif “NOISE / BEAUTY” behind all three, Japanese title 「少女たちの音。」 “IDOL BAND SPECIAL”, 「甘く、鋭く、未来へ。」 “VOCAL MIO-A / GUITAR MIO-B / BASS MIO-C”, “ISSUE 02 — AUTUMN 2026”. Graphic design: black field, thin white rules, small metallic-silver captions, limited pink and cyan labels, cropped giant letters, generous negative space, no clutter.

With multiple characters, write "who's in front, who's behind, who's cropped to what framing" into each character's own paragraph (dominates the center foreground / stands behind on the upper-left / lower-right and slightly farther back) — spell out the positions and the hierarchy stays solid.

Step 3: Live CG

After the key visual come the application scenes. Carry the same character files over untouched, swap out the "style" and "content summary," change the poses to performance moves, and you get a live show:

Concert CG generated by Tsubaki.3
Live CG: the vocalist in the foreground with two blurred bandmates behind, each lit by her own stage light

The full prompt:

  • Style (purple) — a CG scene pushes lighting all the way: chiaroscuro, crushed blacks, blown-out highlights
  • Scene (orange) — concert chorus climax, low-angle audience viewpoint, shallow depth of field
  • Characters (blue) — the trio's designs unchanged; rewrite the poses and the foreground/background focus relationship
  • Mood (amber) — finish with stage lighting: three colored lights, gold confetti, glow sticks, haze

Her detailed rock-idol costume is white, pastel pink, rose red and black: cropped idol jacket decorated with gold buttons, epaulettes, tiny chains, heart charms and embroidered patches over a frilled off-shoulder top; layered asymmetrical mini skirt built from ruffles, pleated panels, ribbon ties, lace trim and decorative belts; thigh-high stockings with garter straps, ankle straps, stylish boots with heart buckles and metallic ornaments, ribbon choker, fingerless gloves, ear accessories, star-shaped hair clips and charm bracelets. Singing into a decorated wireless microphone extremely close to her lips, she reaches one hand directly toward the camera, fingers enlarged by controlled foreshortening, bright open-mouth idol smile, slightly teasing expression, hair, ribbons and heart charms flying around her face, Mio-B remains clearly recognizable in the blurred left background: petite purple-eyed white-pink-haired catgirl wearing a black, deep-violet, gray and silver asymmetrical punk-idol jacket, harnesses, chains, plaid accents, belted shorts-skirt, patterned thigh-highs and chunky metallic boots, actively playing a black-violet electric guitar, Mio-C remains visible in the blurred right background: petite purple-eyed white-pink-haired catgirl wearing a cyan, mint, white and silver futuristic stage top, translucent panels, floating straps, pleated overskirt over shorts, asymmetrical stockings and chunky padded boots, playing a cyan-silver bass, hot pink spotlight on Mio-A, violet light from B, cyan rim light from C, gold confetti, glow sticks, stage flare, haze, strong bokeh, premium idol concert CG

Keep the character files untouched and swap only the scene sections — consistency doesn't drop:

Step 4: Serialized Manga

With the characters and world established, serialization can begin. The 6-page color short "MIOのおうち日和" follows Mio's laid-back day at home:

Mio color short manga 1/6
1 / 6
MIOのおうち日和, a color short — flip pages with ◂ ▸ or the arrow keys

Generated manga pages occasionally show skewed lettering or miswritten strokes. When the text looks off, don't reroll the whole page — use PixAI Edit Pro to fix just the text while the rest of the artwork stays intact:

Manga page before the lettering fix
Before — skewed speech-bubble lettering
Manga page after fixing the lettering with PixAI Edit Pro
After — text rewritten with PixAI Edit Pro, artwork unchanged

Three things before generating manga: write each page's script first (AI can ghostwrite it if needed) → check every page's logic and continuity → only then convert the finalized script into prompts. Never reverse the order.

The short's full project brief looks like this — Genre: slice-of-life / healing / light comedy · Reading direction: right to left · Dialogue: Japanese · Setting: Mio's apartment (bedroom, living room, open kitchen) · Time: a weekend, late morning to early evening · Core theme: "A day where nothing happens can still be a very happy day."

The full six-page script follows, each page in the same fixed format of "page role → layout → panel-by-panel breakdown":

A manga-page prompt has two more sections than a single image; the recommended order is style → content summary → character description → setting (scene continuity) → panel layout → panel content. Taking page 2, "Hunger forces Mio out of bed," here's the script converted into a prompt:

pure flat coloring, no shading, no shadows, no highlights, no gradients, no lighting effects, solid color fills, uniform local colors, clean anime lineart. faintly colored, lightly tinted, soft washed-out palette, almost-white pastel tones. crisp clean lineart, sharp outlines, flat cel-shading, defined anatomy, clean constructive lines, Hyper-detailed anime illustration in 8K, official art style, sharp focus, clean lineart and cel shading, extremely detailed background, Create a Japanese manga page, read right to left, for the same original slice-of-life manga “MIOのおうち日和”. Warm, cute, slightly comedic home-life tone. Use clean manga lineart, screentones, clear borders, readable eye flow, and consistent character design. Character: Mio: petite anime girl, purple eyes, short messy white hair with soft pink gradient accents, light wispy bangs, layered short hair, heart-shaped ahoge, cat ears, long cat tail, soft youthful face, cute anime proportions. Keep exactly the same design and the same outfit as page 1: oversized cream-white hoodie with small cat paw embroidery, loose pale pink lounge shorts, fluffy white-and-pink striped ankle socks. Setting: Continue directly from page 1. Same apartment, moving from bedroom toward the kitchen area. Late morning. Mio is hungry and finally forced to get up. Page layout: 5 panels. Use this layout: - Panel 1: top right. - Panel 2: top left. - Panel 3: center large horizontal panel. - Panel 4: bottom right. - Panel 5: bottom left. Panel descriptions: - Panel 1: small comedic close-up of Mio’s stomach area under the hoodie. Loud stomach growl breaks the silence. SFX: 「ぐぅぅ~~……」 - Panel 2: close-up of Mio lying on the bed, staring upward. Her eyes open fully, both cat ears suddenly standing up in reaction to hunger. Dialogue: Mio 「…………。」 - Panel 3: medium-wide side shot of Mio dragging herself sleepily from the bedroom toward the kitchen. Slightly hunched posture, oversized sleeves covering part of her hands, tail lazily trailing behind her. Dialogue: Mio 「空腹には……」「勝てなかった……。」 SFX: 「ぺた……」「ぺた……」 - Panel 4: point-of-view from inside the refrigerator looking out. Visible ingredients: eggs, milk, strawberries, bread, butter. Dialogue: Mio 「おお……。」「ちゃんと食料がある。」 - Panel 5: close-up of Mio holding eggs and bread with sparkling eyes, tail lifted with energy. Dialogue: Mio 「えらいぞ、昨日の私!」 Narration: 「昨日のMio、最大の功績。」 Maintain continuity from page 1: same outfit, same hairstyle, same apartment, same late-morning progression. Keep the tone playful and cozy. No watermark, no signature, no random extra text, no extra characters, no malformed hands or duplicated limbs.

For black-and-white manga, swap the style section for a version that emphasizes monochrome and screentones, and rewrite the character description in black-and-white terms:

Classic monochrome manga style consisting of black ink lines, white highlights, and gray screen tones. Modern Japanese digital doujinshi style with smooth lines, expressive facial rendering, prominent sound effects. Black-and-white manga, glossy white highlights, deep black room background, gentle radiating lines, crisp clean lineart, sharp outlines, flat cel-shading, defined anatomy, clean constructive lines, visible form,

The official team also recommends pairing it with this black-and-white manga Recipe for steadier line and screentone quality.

The 3-page monochrome short "After School, The Three of Us" follows student Mio and her friends after class:

Mio monochrome short manga 1/3
1 / 3
Monochrome short — the result of a style section emphasizing monochrome and screentones

Step 5: Anniversary Art

Long-running projects can also give the characters new outfits. The fourth-anniversary project designed three new looks for Mio, each delivered as a multi-pose sheet:

Mio-m gothic mechanical maid multi-pose sheet
Mio-m: gothic mechanical maid
Mio-z cyberpunk multi-pose sheet
Mio-z: cyberpunk techwear
Mio-g ribbon-futurism multi-pose sheet
Mio-g: ribbon futurism

Taking Mio-z as the example — the same character repeated 6 times in one image, each pose with its own expression, with the layout and every single pose written as a checklist:

pure flat coloring, no shading, no shadows, no highlights, no gradients, no lighting effects, solid color fills, uniform local colors, clean anime lineart, character design sheet style. faintly colored, lightly tinted, soft washed-out palette, almost-white pastel tones. crisp clean lineart, sharp outlines, flat cel-shading, defined anatomy, clean constructive lines, visible form, mio-z, single-character multi-pose character sheet, the same character repeated 6 times on one wide landscape canvas, cyberpunk techwear, post-apocalyptic glitchcore aesthetic, cool, mysterious, slightly playful personality. Character: Mio-z, petite anime girl, purple eyes, short messy white hair with soft pink gradient accents, light wispy bangs falling naturally across the forehead, hair covering one eye, heart-shaped ahoge, cat ears, long cat tail. Keep the same face, hairstyle, hair colors, cat ears, tail, and body proportions in every pose. Outfit: extremely layered cyberpunk techwear outfit. Innermost layer is a tight black high-neck shirt with a white choker. Over it is a lightweight tactical scarf-like vest with draped stacked fabric, angular layered construction, and thin white edge accents. Middle layer is a fitted purple-grey hoodie with an oversized cat-ear hood hanging low and partially shadowing the face; one hood ear has metallic buckle straps and geometric hardware. Irregular techwear components cover the torso: hanging straps, metallic clips, tactical attachments, layered harness details, tactical corset belt, and black utility belt. Asymmetrical sleeves: one arm has a fitted upper sleeve gradually becoming looser toward the wrist, with layered folds and black straps; the opposite sleeve is deconstructed and incomplete, formed from fragmented fabric pieces and hanging straps. Black arm warmers extend over the hands. Lower body: black ultra-short shorts with folded cuffs, layered thigh straps and tactical garter details. Black folded-collar boots combined with chunky irregular purple-and-black leg warmers. Dark grey, black, white, muted purple and navy palette. Keep all clothing layers and asymmetrical details consistent across every pose. Layout: wide horizontal character reference sheet, white background with faint light-grey graph-paper grid, asymmetrical collage composition, 2 large poses, 3 medium poses, 1 small pose, varied scale, staggered placement, diagonal visual rhythm. Slight overlap allowed without covering face, hands, feet, tail, or important costume structures. Sparse glitch symbols, small cat icons, warning marks and geometric tech motifs as secondary decorations. Poses: 1. Main large pose, front three-quarter full-body standing pose, weight shifted onto one leg, one hand in the utility belt area, the other loosely lifting the hood edge, relaxed confident posture, subtle closed-mouth smile, calm watchful eyes. 2. Medium dynamic pose, side-diagonal full-body view, quickly turning the torso as if reacting to a sound, one arm raised defensively, straps and scarf layers swinging outward, tail curved sharply, alert and slightly surprised expression. 3. Medium seated pose, slight high-angle view, sitting casually with one knee raised and the other leg extended, one arm resting over the knee, hood casting partial shadow over the face, quiet bored expression with a faint mischievous smile. 4. Medium rear three-quarter pose, back-facing full-body view looking over the shoulder, clearly showing hoodie, harness layers, belt system, asymmetrical sleeves and tail, narrowed eyes, cautious suspicious expression. 5. Large low pose, one-knee crouching pose, torso leaning slightly forward, one hand touching the ground and the other near the belt, ready-to-move posture, focused determined expression, ears slightly angled back. 6. Small perspective pose, dramatic low-angle full-body view with one boot closer to the camera, relaxed shoulders, one hand adjusting the choker or hood, faint confident smile, cool detached gaze. Expressions: calm smile, alert surprise, bored mischievous smile, suspicious glance, determined focus, confident subtle smile. Avoid overly cheerful or exaggerated cute expressions. Style: clean stylized anime illustration, thin controlled lineart, flat cel shading with subtle textured shading, matte finish, muted cool palette, clear silhouettes, readable costume layering. Quality: consistent face, hairstyle and costume, correct anatomy, natural hands and feet, no duplicated limbs, no fused fingers, no extra arms or legs, no random outfit changes, no watermark, no signature, no text.
