Upload and import
Add your own images, videos and audio to the canvas, or import your PixAI generations.
You can bring your own files onto the canvas, or import results that you already made on PixAI. Each file becomes a node that you can use as a reference, the same as a generated result.
Upload files from your computer
Do one of these:
- Drag files from your computer onto the canvas.
- Copy an image, then press Ctrl/Cmd + V on the canvas.
- Click Add node in the dock, then click Upload.
The node shows Uploading until the file is ready. You can move and connect it while it uploads, but you can't generate from it yet.

An animated GIF becomes a still image of its first frame.
Replace the image in a node
You can change the image in an uploaded image node. The node keeps its connections, so the nodes that use it get the new image.
Click Upload from device to pick a file, or Choose from canvas to use another image on this canvas.
Import from PixAI
You can bring images and videos that you made on PixAI onto the canvas.
Find your tasks. Use Search your tasks, or the All, Image and Video tabs.
An image generation task becomes an Image node with the same prompt and settings, so you can change the prompt and generate again. Video tasks and edit tasks come in as plain media nodes.
Common questions
Why was my file not added?
The file type is not supported, or the file is larger than the limit. See Supported files.
Can I replace a video or an audio file?
No. Replace is only on image nodes. Upload the new file as a new node and connect it instead.
I can't find a task in Import from PixAI.
The dialog lists only tasks that finished.
