Nodes and connections
Learn the four node kinds, connect nodes as references, and mention a node in a prompt with @.
A canvas is made of nodes. When you connect one node to another, the second node uses the first node's result as a reference. For example, connect an image to a Video node, and the Video node can use that image as its first frame.
A connection only passes data. It does not run anything. Each node runs when you click its Generate.
Node kinds
| Node | What it does |
|---|---|
| Text | Holds text that you write or that a model writes. Its text goes into connected prompts. |
| Image | Generates an image from a prompt and references. |
| Video | Generates a video from a prompt and references, such as a first frame. |
| Audio | Generates speech and other audio from a prompt. |
A file that you upload or import also becomes a node. You can use it as a reference.

Connect nodes
Point to a node to show its + buttons.
- The + on the right adds a new node that uses this node as a reference.
- The + on the left adds a new node that this node uses as a reference.
To connect two nodes that are already on the canvas, drag a + and drop it on the other node.

To remove a connection, select it and press Delete. Both nodes stay on the canvas.
Add references from the prompt bar
When you select a node, the prompt bar shows its references as tiles.
Select Choose from canvas and click a node, or select Upload from device to add a file from your computer.
To remove a reference, point to its tile and click ร.
Mention a node with @
When a node has several references, use @ in the prompt to say which one you mean. For example: "Put the character from @Image Node 1 into the scene from @Image Node 2".
In the prompt, type @. A list opens.
Pick a node or an asset. If you pick a node that is not connected yet, it is connected for you.

You can mention image, video and audio nodes. You don't need to mention a Text node: its text is added to the prompt automatically.
Common questions
Does a connection run the next node for me?
No. Run each node with its Generate, or run a whole group at once. See Batch runs and groups.
Why can't I connect to this node?
Some connections are not possible. For example, a node cannot reference itself, and a connection cannot make a loop. Some models also do not take references.
Generate is blocked after I added references.
Each model has its own limits, such as the most reference images. Point to Generate to see the reason, then remove references or choose another model.
